Report Says Fuel Supply to Air India Plane Was Cut Off Before Fatal Crash

According to a recent investigative report, the fuel supply of an Air India plane abruptly shut off just before it crashed, causing a fatal accident. The findings  suggest mechanical failure, maintenance abuse, or procedural errors.

Many passengers as well as crew members lost their lives in an airplane crash earlier this year, and it has since been the focus of a detailed aviation safety inquiry.

Investigators Trace Cause of Sudden Fuel Disruption

The General Directorate of Civil Aviation (DGCA) issued a preliminary report stating that data collected from the flight data recorder, commonly referred to as the "black box," showed a sudden and total interruption of fuel supply to the engines in the final seconds of the flight. A sudden loss of power resulted from this loss, which ultimately caused the aircraft to crash after falling uncontrollably.

One official familiar with the investigation said, "Initial evidence points toward a fuel supply disruption that may have stopped the engines from operating properly in the most critical stage of flight."

Tragedy Unfolded Quickly

Up until just before its planned landing, the plane, which was flying a local route within India, had been operating normally. Until the plane started to quickly lose altitude, everyone on board claimed no warning or signs of worry.

The jet made a sudden descent and tried a landing in an unidentified area before shattering on impact, according to witnesses close to the crash site, who described the awful aftermath.

Despite the quick arrival of rescue workers, several injuries and fatalities were confirmed. Air India immediately sent its crisis response teams, and survivors were taken to local hospitals.

Fuel System Under Scrutiny

According to the opinions of aviation experts, modern commercial aircraft are fitted with multiple fail-safes to prevent total fuel cutoff. Therefore, the findings of the report prompted an additional inquiry into whether the issue was caused by a mechanical failure, faulty fuel gauge sensors, or human error during in-flight management or refueling.

To find out if there were any missed signs of malfunction or procedural errors, maintenance logs and recent aircraft inspections are currently being carefully examined. The possibility of a technical issue with the aircraft's fuel transportation system has not been ruled out by officials.

Air India Responds to the Report

Air India expressed profound grief over the incident and reiterated its complete cooperation with investigators in a statement released soon after the results were made public.

"We are committed to complete accountability and transparency. Our top concern remains the safety of our crew and passengers. The airline stated, "We will take all appropriate remedial steps while we await the final report."

By DGCA instructions, Air India has grounded all aircraft of the same model for additional inspection and safety checks.

Families Demand Answers

The study provides both heartbreaking insight and a possible avenue for accountability for the families of those killed in the collision. Stricter regulation of airplane maintenance and improved communication between regulators and airlines have been demanded by many.

One victim's relative stated, "We want to know how this could happen on a major airline." "Just saying that there was a malfunction is sufficient. Someone must be held responsible.

What’s Next?

The investigation is still ongoing, and in the months to come, an exhaustive final report will be expected. Authorities have been working with the manufacturer of the aircraft to find out if similar issues with the fuel system occurred elsewhere.

The regulators, engineers, and airline experts are still putting together the crash's schedule, but the event is a clear reminder of the importance of rigorous security protocols and constant attention to detail in the aviation industry.
